mystery box Toolbox:
  • Object cards
  • Box
How To:
  1. Teens are seated around in circle.
  2. Place a large box in the middle of the circle.
  3. Choose someone to be the first mimer (someone who doesn’t talk but says a message through body language). The mimer will pick an object card and will mime taking the object that was written on the card out of the box, and interacting with it as if it were real.
Sample object cards:
  • Mouse
  • Rotten egg
  • Cream cake
  • Chewing gum
  1. The teens must guess what the object is. When they have guessed the object, the mimer will pass it around the circle.
  2. The teens should react as if they were holding the actual object in their hands.    
  3. Eventually, the last teen in the circle gets rid of the object and becomes the new mimer.
